Solar & Battery Storage Lowlands Road, Hockley, Essex
We were approached by this client based in Lowlands Road, Essex, who wanted to reduce their energy bill by installing solar panels. For further optimisation we suggested the addition of a solar storage battery, which also can be used to sell energy back to the grid with the SEG scheme.
Our customers annual consumption is estimated at 5018kW. To meet their energy demand, we designed a PV system that generates 7,974kWh annually and fit 5.76kWh solar storage battery to store surplus energy and sell back to the grid.
What We Installed
Aiko 445W N-Type Solar Panels
We installed 20 of the Aiko 445W N-Type All Black solar panels giving our residential customer 8.9kW total solar power.
The 20 x 445 Aiko solar panels impressively produce a yearly output of 7,974kWh. This substantial generation aligns perfectly with our clients' estimated annual consumption of 5018kW, making it an ideal and efficient solution for their energy requirements.

Fox 8kW K Series Hybrid Inverter
We installed the Fox ESS 8kW K series Hybrid inverter. The Fox inverter, seamlessly integrates with their solar panel system to optimize energy production. This intelligent device not only regulates the solar energy output, but also stores any excess energy in their battery storage unit, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost savings for our customer
This Fox ESS hybrid inverter also has a built in EPS function to run your home in case of a power cut.

Fox ECS 2900 5.76kWh Battery Storage
To further enhance our customers' solar installation, we also suggested incorporating the Fox ECS 2900 5.7kW solar battery storage. This addition ensures optimal efficiency, allowing our customer to maximise the overall potential of their solar system.
With the added feature of a solar storage battery, any excess energy generated can be stored and sold back to the grid through the SEG scheme.

System Performance
Utility savings based on switch from Standard Variable to Octopus Agile Import & Export
The projected energy cost is calculated by considering a 7% increase in energy cost each year, due to trends in the raising cost of energy. This estimate is based on selected preferences, current energy costs and the position and orientation of roof to calculate the efficiency of the system. Projections are based on estimated usage of 5018 kWh per year, assuming Standard Variable Electricity Tariff.
