Farm Rooftop Solar Grants Doubled
Great news for farmers and rural businesses as the UK Government have recently announced that the Improving Farm Productivity Round 2 grant (to improve agriculture technology) has been doubled to £220 million.
This is the second time the UK Government has offered this grant which is open to farmers, growers and related contractors.
As well as robotic and automatic equipment, the Improving Farm Productivity grant is supporting the installation of Solar PV! The funding opportunities specifically earmarked for solar equipment installation range between £15,000 and £100,000 and will cover up to 25% of the cost. The solar PV panels can only be installed on farm building rooftops and irrigation reservoirs.
